Gallery Exhibits

The Clay County Heritage Center is located in downtown Spencer. It opened in July 2012 and It houses two galleries and the bulk of our collection. A permanent exhibition in the Dvergsten Gallary titled "This Land We Call Home – Settling Clay County” illustrates archeological, pioneer, and early Clay County histroy, including the 1931 Spencer Fire.

SOUTH GALLERY EXHIBITS


The South Gallery rotates exhibits every few months using both artifacts from our collection and loaned items.

Our current temporary exhibit  "Heritage & Century Farms of Clay County" is open to the public until January 23, 2024
